About RonLumiaMusic
The Full Story
Ron Lumia is a professional musician who writes musical cues for TV, film, and commercials. He is based in Houston and uses a variety of vintage and modern tools to create his unique sound.
He has played piano since he was seven. In high school and college, he earned a living by playing in bands, from rock to country, in the days before DJs changed the economics.
After college, his first job was as an electronic circuit designer. (His belief is that most engineers are unemployed musicians.) Ultimately, he decided to teach at the university level and got a PhD in electrical engineering. He had been in the academic community until retirement in 2017. He has lived in Bay Shore, Ithaca, Boston, Charlottesville, Paris, Blacksburg, Washington DC, Singapore, Albuquerque, Bangalore, Bangkok, and Houston.
Now that he has retired, he can return to his first passion: music. As a professor and consultant, he always had deadlines; he always met or beat them. Always! This is an essential part of success for any activity, i.e., show up on time with the promised product. He looks forward to working with music libraries to place music cues in TV, Films, and Commercials.
